A step-by-step guide with screenshots for the dummies among us.
We begin with opening outlook.
Then click on File in top left corner.
See the screenshot for more explanation. This applies for all of the screenshots below.
This will open the Account Information tab in Outlook.
Click on Account Settings.
And click on Account Settings again.
The Account Settings tab will open.
Look for change and click on it. See the screenshot below for more information.
This will open the Change Account settings.
Click on More Settings.
Go to the ‘Advanced‘ tab.
I’ve added two steps in one screenshot. See the screenshot for more information.
- First click on Add.
- Type the name of the (shared) mailbox you want to open. for example: [email protected]
- Click Ok
Alright, now we’ve added the (shared) mailbox, click Apply and re-start your Outlook.
The newly added mailbox will now be opened under your own Mailbox.
If you do not have Full access to the mailbox, you will not be able to open the (shared) mailbox!
But how do I send an email as the shared mailbox?
- Open a new Mail Message
- Click the From button
- Select Other E-Mail Address
- Type in the Shared E-Mail Address in the From field
- Send message
